ABOUT OUR ARTISTS
Vivian Pedley's current work deals with questions of identity. He describes his work as a figurative experience, involving text, contemporary song lyrics and the ordinariness of dialogue that has developed through advertising and the general manner in which information is put across. He's intrigued by 'what's on offer' in the world and how we are affected by it. I feel a need to pin down some evidence of who we think we are and how, in turn, we put ourselves 'on offer' in the world.
Nick Hook based in South London is a member of the London Vampyre Group and his style is dark and gothic. He describes his paintings as images torn from the wrecks of an urban mindscape. His painting above is called Cold Hillside and came from a Sci-Fi fantasy dream of his.
Angelica, is an award winning photographer, who works from her purpose built studio near Gatwick. She believes that everyone – no matter what their age, size or shape – should have the opportunity to feel sexy and glamorous in front of the camera. She is also a member of the Guild of Erotic Artists.
Jamie McCartney, is a professional sculptor working with the lifecasting process. This involves taking a mould from part of the body and producing a cast from it in a range of materials from plaster to bronze or even chocolate! A member of both the Guild of Erotic Artists and the Association of Lifecasters International, he exhibits in several galleries and also works as a sculptor in the film industry. He is based in London and makes beautiful commissioned works for clients throughout the UK. His pieces tend towards the erotic, focussing on the beauty and sexuality of the human body. Commissions range from whole bodies to just bits and bobs. For more info visit www.jamiemccartney.com
