Sum er Progress

Sorry for the corny headline. I can report some progress positive message has been received from Cllr Lynne Beaumont, Leader of the LibDem Opposition on Shepway District Council. She agreed we were doing a good thing and would raise the subject of encouraging small businesses ot recycle at the next Cabinet Meeting.

For recyling of paper we use the following Kent Community Recycling

This time of year really reinforces the need to help nature and wildlife. We all spend much more time outside int enjoying the nice sunny weather. We are growing and enjoying the produce of our garden our trawberries were lovely this year so to are ourcourgettes and lettuces. The blueberry bush is producing very tasty fruit and soon our tomato's will be ripe. East Kent is a lovely area despite all the roads and development.

This morning we were able to go fishing on the beach I went for a swim in the sea and we could see a view all the way form france to Sussex (and those windmills on the borderline!!). This afternoon we visited

The Rare Species Conservation Centre near Sandwich in Kent. This specialising in often ignored smaller animals including lots from Madagascar, Smaller Cats. I loved the owrld's largest pigeon, the size of a turkey. And thught the tapirs great with their underwater breath holding competition.

Lacies Carbon Neutral Campaign

After a weeks or so's research I decided that today is action day to try and get recycling of plastic packages, you know all that nasty clear cellophane covering that seems to cover everything you get these days.

To be honest I didn't hold much hope as my record on sudden campaigns have been disappointing to say the least. In fact my intial work met on deaf ears I wondered how say banks or small shops recycled this clear plastic film. I spoke to an assistant at Royal Bank of Scotland who told me that all banks waste was specially sealed and taken away as confidential private waste. No more detail given. I spoke to the manager at Cross's a local stationers in Folkestone main shopping street Sandgate Road. She said there was very little such waste produced but that all waste was commercially disposed off by the company's headquarters on a local industrial estate. Then I spoke to someone at Londis, a 7/11 corner store in Dover Road very near Lacies. He said such waste was disposed of in bins at the back but as it he wasn't involved in running the business it was nothing to do with him. Any guesses what happens there then.

So I moved to searching for Recycling on the Internet. On face book the only search that popped up was of very little usa. It had lots who liked the site but didn't seem to be active since November 2007. I then tried to politicians the Green Party's PPS at the last election Penny someone I forgot she lived in Ashford(Kent). I sent an email to her and also to her LibDem counterpart Lynne Beaumont (her with the glasses a la Anne Robinson). To date I have on response form either or the North Laines traders from very green aware and trendy Brighton.

I pondered and thought suddenly it dawned on me Kent Business Link, why not surely this is what they were good at. It proved a brain wave as they proved very helpful and recommended EnvirnWise where someone called Rebecca was very helpful recommended a web site www.wasterecycling.org.uk. She even told me how to use it.. Defo 9/10 also another site www.letsrecycle.com tbh I didn't look at this site.

The waste recycling website is easy to use. All you do as explained by Becky is to put in your post code and press enter then a series of waste products are listed eg Green Waste hazardous planets eg ragwort, Glass and then whether Glass Bottle etc. Office Waste then sub lists of paper, cardboard, mixed plastics and so on.

I ticked polystyrene, plastic film and printer cartridges and pressed enter. I was then given 10 results of different waste firms. I was very impressed (although 5 were the same firm in Old Romney) they were a fair few all close to home. It also stated whether the firm offered a collect service. I sent e mails to 3 of which Nicky from Keith Cornell Waste Paper in Lympe near Hythe who contact Nicky replied really quickly. The other 2 1 emailed an old demon.co.uk was an outdated address no response from the other one. . Nicky was very helpful on the phone and offered collection for £6 fortnightly using plastic recycle boxes or free if we can get some other Folkestone companies to take up the plastic collection along with us.

SO PLEASE IF YOU CAN HELP US BY HELPING YOURSELVES WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FORM U SO WOULD NICKY AT KEITH CORNELL WASTE SERVICES Ring me on 01303 240470 or email me or Nicky who you can also phone on 01303 237031.

Wind Blows in a godess called Mistress Annabelle

Easily the highlight of this week has been a visit from the lovely Mistress Annabelle and her nice maid to Folkestone Lacies. She really is a gorgeous English rose who takes extreme care and attention to every detail in everything she does. In this she is an example to us all. She is extremely well mannered polite as in a way I didn't know existed and very devoted to her fetish lifestyle that I simply haven't come across before. She looks smashing in all her different outfits and is extremely trim; so much so that I am going to purchase SlimFast on Monday and eat nothing but this for the next week at least .

Phew its a goal and over !!

What will history make of the first African World Cup in June 2010. It will remembered for an incident free and enjoyable slice of sport well hosted by South Africa. What it may od ofr their country remains to be seen. On the field it was very bitty 9as they say in little Britain). There were some really good games but the final was not one of them.

The world at least the poorest and African tem-oraily forgot the slums they live in and the lack of sanitation and gun violence. I was surprised even the people in eruption struck Haiti have been asorped by the action coming out of South Africa. Back ot reality ofr these and others in need of something extra in their lives but at least the rich can go on holiday and live in shelted suburbs many of us in this world are less lucky. Mkaes you grateful for what we have and our relatively well off lives.

Are you A Bird or a Bloke ??

It was interesting to come across an old friend writing a regular fortnightly column in The Guardian. Juliet Jacques is the author of her real life attempt to transition from male ot female. In the third excerpt published in the Guardian on 30th June Are You A Bird or A Bloke is an account of how she first started to transition informing friends and work of her future intention ot dress fully as a female. In the process of her articles she mentions our very own Miss Transgender Brighton competition in which she was a competitor and her visit ot Lacies own Hove store to purchase(in her words)"a pair of proper silicones". After her expedition to us she visited the local Co-op en femme to buy osem fruit and surprisingly enough it wasn't the major ordeal she imagined when she bought a piece of fruit en femme. What however did surprisse me was her accounts of experiencing prejudice in her own words.

"Two days later, I returned to the Clare Project. I felt less secure: shops had refused to serve me, several old friends hadn't returned my email, and I was worrying about my family. Their counsellor told me to give my friends time, to expect some discrimination, and to bide my time with my parents." (source Juliet Jacques The Guardian Online 30th July)

Now the shops refusing to serve her is surprisngly, especially in Brighton and Hove; but in doing so they are breaking the law and should as such be reported to the authorities. It may even be an idea ot contact Lynne Featherstone the libdem minster for Equality; as she is very involved in the trans rights issue.

One other surprising bit of news came from my partner Karen who at a meeting of LGBT in Canterbury, Kent was informed that Stonewall, the respected campaign group for gay rights wants ot remove the T part from the LGBT . Funny I always thought the trans community were heavily involved in the street campaigning which started this organisation. What went wrong there i wonder I would love to hear from anyone who could enlighten me on this development my email is sue@fantasygirl.co.uk Stonewall seem very repsected and were even on Television today on the BBC News 24 Channel

Summer sport Inger lund n all that !!

What a sorry bunch of loser that lot truely were. They let down all there millons of football fans. They played like a group of schoolchildren all busy chasing the ball whilst forgetting that they were multi millonaire skilled people. Absolute scandal heads should roll especially the Italian Arse who was paid £4millon to shape this outfit and whose excuses were laughable and pure Peter Sellers. Suddenly Gordon Brown isn't os bad after all. Please please please change the rule ofr allowing or disallowing goals on the goalline tennis has don eit for years at Wimbledon.

Back to ground why not check out our great community site called Transdates. This site is really beginnig to take off and is much more value than watching a bunch of losers for a hour and a half of our precious lives. And boy did those plastic flags come down quick. You can't fool everyone with clever marketing you know some like me saw through all the England hype a long time ago. !!! I'll leave oyu with a true picture of what make England neigh Britain such a great place to be !!

Is this the start of a new Age of Prudery & Sex crackdown ?

It seems that a new age of prudery is upon us coming from of all places Brighton. The local Brighton & Hove City Council is issueing a consultative document recommending a crack down on sex establishments including lap dancing clubs and also sex shops. So worried are some people that they fear it may extend to burlesque dancers and other flesh exposing past times. I was rang up by the Argus journalist yesterday and asked for my comments. I said it was the first we knew about it. Apparenlty this new prudency is in line with current National Coalition Government thinking. Is this the end I ask myself of liberitarian attitudes to sexuality in Britan. The second question uit raises is why this crack down and who are these new pruds. Link Saturday 19th June 2010 The Argus Raunchy Crackdown front page story

In Brighton we at Lacies faced opposition from a Church nearby WHICH just happened ot be a born again version of Christianity. In Hove the pub opposite The Portland, tried to have one lap dancing night a month. The oppsotion which mounted street protests included local nimbys (probalby the aforesaid Christian brigade)and the Hove Labour MP who cited exploitation of women as her reason. Maybe, just maybe, this coalition now control the local council and is starting in their view to sort the city out. I really think they are missing the point most prblems in Brighton eminate from drugs and their effect not from Brighton's image as the nation's favourite naughty weekend destination !!.

Oh and England lost last night. hopeless the flas are flagging already . They have just one chance now of saving their overpaid, spoilt scalps oin Wednesday. Slip up and British people will have just revenge. Cut their wages i say everyone else is facing austerity !!! Oh AND its my birthday tomorrow 20th June happy birthday ot me etc

Summer, England & Sun

Early Summer and the usual desire for sun and warmth is met by er rain and cloud. Is it going ot be a barbeque summer or a wet rainy Glastonbury of a summe ?. My prediction is its going ot be a bit of both but thats the way I love it. June is normally wetter than August which along with July is high summer but June is a gorgeous omnth that just happens to be my birthday.

This year it all coincides with the FIFA World Cup which correctly is given to an African country. To mark this event as previously stated Lacies have been offering a refund if England win the world cup. The offer has bought much attention including radio interviews as well as press coverage. As evidenced by this piece with a very quickly taken photo (by my partner Gromit)which is featured on the Kent Messenger website . My hope is that we will move on form the Rob Green mistake and make it a very succesful cup run tihs time maybe reaching the quarter or even semi's then who knows. i have even got a couple of bets to insure I don't lose out on the refunds if England win.

Monday June 7th 2010

Check out our Amazing England World Cup Offer

Howabout that ofr an extra ordinary offer os extraordinary was it that within minutes of announcing it I was being interview by a UK radio station KM FM which borradcasts in Kent, So you might ask what is the samll print well the purchase must be made within the time limits above. Also you must keep and return your special World Cup receipt which features a photo of the World Cup like this pictured right. fifa world cup

Bank Holiday Monday May 31st 2010

A Wierd Day

Is it me or don't you think this bank holiday forms a very strange interim period of nothingness. There doesn't seem to be much going on really. The football season is over the election is all cut and dried. And the tennis and world cup are not quite started. Unless you count the French Open a big characterless nothing of a tournament with ugly seventies style stadium and a paltry damp crowd of non fashionista's. I had a mad idea why didn't we replace this Bank Holiday with one on June 23rd which is the day England plays Slovenia with a GMT Kick off of 3pm. Let's face it there will be so many sickies thrown that day that it would save money to have it as a Bank Holiday.

On another related point, Saving Money that is. I see that nice David Laws you know the closet gay brainy box. was forced to resign due to being court out as getting the tax payer to pay for his expenses whilst renting form his gay lover. I think he did not do it cause of the money he is very rich anyway but from a silly Roman Catholic upbringing which made him silly about his personal life and on wishing to tell his old Catholic mum. Catholicism is has a lot to answer for. Funny enough 2 hours before he resigned someone gave him a pot plant which he refused. He then asked to look at the entire pot plant budget for whitehall and immediately called for it to be abolished. Maybe someone didn't like this and outed his a bit of a hypocrite. Hypocrite or not he is STILL needed to help this country os I hope he will come back in some capacity in the Treasury.

Journalist phoned about TS Murder

Had a phone call from Martin Freeman of the Brighton Argus newspaper. He asked whether I knew Andrea the post op TS who was found murdered in her flat. I actually didn't know her but I had read the story in the press. I commented that because TG/TS girls are heavily discriminated against they can't get employment and thus for many resorting to going on the game is seemingly easy alternative. When really it is the last thing any sane person should ever do. I wonder what the result of the court case will be and what the accused will get if found guilty.

Transexual lose fight for Right to NHS Boob Job !!

The High Court today rejected the attempt of a Reading based TG woman to have a breat enlargement operation from her local NHS citing the operation as being only as a cosmetic need not absolutely essential. And of course that really trans friendly paper the daily mail (I am breing sarcastic here) had a excuse to give full rein to its stir up trans prejudice.

Daily Mail Online

I also googled this case randomly and got some very nasty message boards including one called Stormtrooper who members called TS's freaks one commenter even told her to eat lots of jewish processed foods. On another thread osmeone even called themseleves a trans basher. Would love ot hear your ocmments my email is sue@fantasygirl.co.uk

Hot Air & Balloons

It's Bank holiday and early Summer so its no surprise that the weather is absolutely horrible bucketing down with rain and pretty cold too boot. It seems like our little spell of warmth at the end of April is well and truly over. You'd have thought politicians hot air would have accounted for at least something. That Cameron is a snake in the grass don't trust him I'm voting for Clegg's Liberal Democracts.

At least more T Girls are dressing up we seem to be reallly busy at the moment and actually moving into profit territory for a change. There are still os me great value ofr money catalogue return Axfords corsets for sale. These are as good as new but half the price because of being returned form being catalogue bought over the internet.

Finally, but not least congradulations its Chris's birthday on Wednesday. As you can see from the above picture she is gpoing to have as a special treat on Wednesday May 5th a ride in an hothair balloon. One thing I would ask her not to do which she started to do in this actual photo please Chirs DON'T start eating the balloon !! Hope you have great fun Chris !!

Elections, photo's & Progress

mary from tthe pub

Isn't it nice to see the sun out yesterday was St Georges Day it was nice ot see ordinary people reclaiming the St George flag form the extremists. On another note I was told by clairetranny from tvchix I ought to have more photo's of myself. I have this on my must do column I need a new digital camera as my old camera seems to have died a death, it was a Kodak5.0 media pixel.. I can't beleive how many tgrikll's are out there meeting all over this country of ours.

On the General Election I really feel a sea change is happening on a pair with the English civil war the old certainites of Tory v Labour has well and truley broken down by the appearance of live debates and Nick Clegg as a great orator. People are fed up with the old staid system and want politican to stop arguing and work together. A new electorial system where the system reflects the views of the majority of the people. LibDem for me this time.

A special thanks to Mish for creating a choosey sexy setting nice n discreet. We will be holding another party next month hopefully. It will be after the election and a new liberal Prime Minister (well u never know). These 2 weeks have been very strange is it me or have the school Easter holidays dragged on (sorry for the pun) and made everything seem so quiet. Be back when it s all over except a third of them are probably stranded in tenerife or where ever

New PRODUCTS in we have some great return Victorian & Edwardian Corsets which have just arrived from Axfords. I am impressed by how many under bust corsets we got from them. Thieves, Snow & Sun

Sorry for the lack of updates. It does not reflect the lack of activity rather my laziness I'm sorry. Anyway, I have ot report a customer badly misused our goodwill and openess by getting over an hour of personalised service trying on corsets, shoes etc accumulating over £300 worth of gear only ot run off with the items after Mish bagged them up for him at the Lacies Hove shop.

We have informed the police indeed today Mish is at the station looking at CCTV pixs of the guy plus the photo's of known villians they have on file to try and find the lowlife cretin. We also informed the Argus in Brighton who did a story with the headline Police seize Sextoy. Which they did to examine for finger prints. This was then taken up in a very tiny piece in The Sun Newspaper the following day the 10th March 2010.

Talking of the climate. The past week has really been difficult at Folkestone where East Kent go a very localised snow fall that was really quite heavy. Hopefully this has now passed. It was so heavy that it caused total disruption for about half a day and omn the 13th March the Thursday the lcoal film crew form Mereidian actually interviewed people from about 300 yards form our shop/

This year we have been busy with decorating the shop above which is now pink and white. We have had shop fitters who have put slatwall in our storeroom which we ho0pe ot open shortly as a Shoe Showroom #

# this iwll open as soon as we put in a new carpet.

What a great day .. or should it be daze

Yesterday had a great party at the shop. It went really wll everyone had got on really well.It was the first time we had a Lativan t girl at Lacies social. Apparently there is a great scene in Riga or at least thats what we thought Olga was saying tee hee ...

It was only little disapointing that the numbers were low but the 2 Chriss' made up for it in interesting and animated conversation, apparently there is a James Bond like venue for t girls in London where the lady who run's it molests the customers or at least Canterbury Chris oo er !!

Shame Jonie or Bea couldn't make it my best wishes go out to Bea who has just lost her father. Hope to see you up and running at the December bash which will be out nest bash. The funniest reason for none attendance goes to Lady h. Poor old heather was on her way over all dolled up as a folly bergeres girl when she was called on to go to the police station to act in her role of duty social care officer to get one of her charges released from being arrested. To use her own words " I looked a real treat in the nick in my folie bergeres can can outfit....and I'm not joking!!! Think they must have wondered who the crazy one was.....!!! LOL!!! Home Office Calls .. say no to trans intolerance !!

We are always getting the most strange of telephone calls and visitorz with allsorts of lifes and backgrounds. However, this week one of the most unusual calls I have ever had. It was from an old friend who I had known as D a TV from Thanet. I went round their place for christmas one year and saw lots of football DVD's and thme in their fav wedding dress. I had sonce lost contact some time ago so I was surprised when she rang Hove on Friday to say not only had she transisitioned and called deleted name(she has just emailed me and says she prefers ot remain anonymous) but she was also heavily involved in anti discrimination legislation having helped to draft up the current transphobic blueprint used by the legal profession and police forces up and down the land. All as a result of her own transition in HM Customs finding very little guide lines for how to treat transgendered people.

A key part of her work which stated whilst working for Immigration was transfobia in sport particulalry football. She rapidly gained several promotions and even won an MBE for their work. Most of it unrecognised ands unknoown in the trans community. So I for one would like ot thank Dee for all her hard work getting transgednered people legally protcted by the state. As she said herslef getting tranpeople secure from the actions of a minority of mainly male trouble makers is completely another thing. We both share a common love of football and the same time the might Whites aka Dover Athletic FC. Currenlty top of the Blue Square South League. I do hope ot be going ot soem of the matches this season safe in the knowledge that anti transgender behavoiur ILL result in the culprit being banned form the club for life. A good enough deterrrent to any but the most stupid hooligan !! Glad ot see things comnig on I only hope Cameron's adminstration do not throw the baby out with the Harriet Harman bathwater !!!

New Victoria wigs in great colours just arrivedvictoria warm brown

We are getting some different colours of our best selling Victoria wig in stock they are in this week but we don't think they will be here for long as they literally fly out of the window (obivously not literaly they have no wings silly). Colours arrived are a lovely brown colour called WARM BROWN and a real jet black colour called er BLACK. They would suit someone feminine like our facebook friend Saffy very well indeed !! They will be in the Hove shop this Friday as I am bring these up along with osme great new SILICONE BREASTS we have just got in from Exsil in Paraquay.

New Natural Bras Breasts back by popular demandnatural breast bra just arrived 19 august 2009

I had almost given up hope to be honest !! Guaranteed to bring the tart out of any girlwhat are you like girl you know what you are like !!! We also have arrived with these the most sexy perky lifelike silicones that have the most sexy perky nipples you have ever seen

Saturday August 2009

I finally have some time to sit down and write in full the weeks events. The most amazing information I have learnt concerns the involvement by our make up suppliers Charles H Fox in one of the biggest jewellry robberies in UK history,. I promise this is true you just couldn't make that one up !! Apparently what happened is that the robbers in their metilous planned robbery spent several hours getting advice and make up disguises at CH Fox's Covent Garden shop. Where the make up artist who is now under armed police guard earnt over £400 supplying these crooks with the fake latex noses and beards which they later used as part of their disguises later that day when they stole £40 millon pounds worth of precious jewellry which was only a handful of prechoosen pieces. We believe the artist concerned was our good friend Paul who ealrier this year came down to Hove and gave us all a fantastic make up session. Good luck to him we hope he doesn't have to guarded forever ??? Whether they catch the crooks is an open question as they have no clues or ideas as to where they escaped or fled the country hwich I beleive is what they did. Phew what a story you couldn't make it up!!!

Technology All Going Wrong Day

We are presently suffering one of those periods of mulyiple glitches. At Hove the electronic till has been playing up big time, we are still able ot use it however and are open as usual. At Folkestone we are replacing our current photocopier with a Oki Multi Function printer. We have been waiting about a month for it to arrive and guess what 2 arrived in the same dat. Like the old proverb about London buses. And no we didn't keep both. We have been able to get both the copier and networking working at the moment and hope ot get the scanner and maybe fax functioning soon also. Fingers crossed and a clear route to the helpline !!!;)

Saturday August 8th 2009

A very strange week this one like the weather oging form extremely warm (Thursday) to quite nice and mild (most of today). It has been a week we have announced the next party Sepetember 10th. It has also been the week Harriet Harman was sole ruler ofr a few days. And boy did she amke the most if it silly twit she is mostly. Gender inequality yes it exists however the remedy isn't quotas esp her idea of quotas. It just results in resentment and inferior people at the top. Ring a bell no nsmes mentioned Harriet ???

Saw a very good item on video about a plastic surgeon who acording to his own modest claims transforms skelitons from male to female. The one result we saw on the programme looked very good. The surgeons name was Dr Douglas Ousterhout based where else but San Fransico USA. Been looking at the website looks quite painful but worth it wonder how much it all costs /??

You Tube Video

At last we are August, undoubtedly the strangest month in the year when more people are on holiday than any other month. This makes if nothing else the roads lovely and quiet. Here at Lacies Fantasy Girl we are continuing ot beaver away if any we are surprisingly busy this month although the up and down of trade continues ot amaze me. Yesterday I uploaded the finished video we made with Yvette Ilsley of Creative Foundation, Folkestone Fame. Please take a look at it, it is now linked to our homepage at www.fantasygirl.co.uk HINT If you click on the photograph and take the link to you tube it gets larger. Alternatively you can go to youtube.com and search for lacies we should have 2 videos linked. Both very similar.

Lady Gaga

I don't know if its me but lady gaga seems to be a modern version (updated) of that great gay icon Dusty Springfield. Both had a great lover of wigs, dressing up alth0ough Lady G is a bit more burlesque. Both a bit OTT. ANd both wore false eyelashes Lady Gaga in particular likes giving them to her lovers after they spent the night together. We have a great wig that is the spitting image of the platinum bob style one often worn by Lady Gaga see photo below.

lady gaga Click here to buy your own lookalike Lady Gaga Wig ???

By the way I am in Lacies Hove branch tomorrow with lots of Pride goodies bags of false eyelashes, platforms etc just in toime ofr Brighton's glamfest wihch is Gay Pride on Saturday.

Tuesday 28th July

Good old NHS !!

Just back from the beach its blowing a hooly out there, spent 1/2 hour being washed over by giant waves. Typical British Summer. Its great here at Lacies that we meet os many differnet characters with os many interesting life paths and stories. Yesterday was a good example no nmaes no pack drills . Someone who manovered ships to oil rigs ofr a living. And a t girl recovering form luekemia from near Hastings. Their stories do credit for the kind nature of the human race and for the NHS. Look luck in your recovery if you decide to raise money for the wonderful District Hospital in Eastbourne let us know we will make a donation !!!

Sunday 27th July

false eyelashes

There seems to be a lot of things going on party etc wise. Maybe its to make up for the poor beach weather ?? Yesterday apart from the Bleriot re-enactment flight there was for the first time a drag competition in of all places DEAL ??? Which as Sarah Miles discovered was outside on the green in Walmer and which ended in near darkness at 9pm. Next week as seems common knowledge is the Brighton Pride carnival on the Saturday. Just in time at our Hove shop we have bought in a range of lovely fal;se eyelashes which you can also buy online see link left.

Friday 25th July

Down to Hove today. Weather was unpromising as was the dramatic smash on the M20. A man was very brave holding the Motorway traffic up to escort 2 people cot the hard shoulder pedestrian fashion. However, the weather quickly dried out and ater a quietish start we began to get busy. A special surprise was seeing the exquisite Valentina Velour in all her splendid glory. She is one of Brighton most glamorous girls.

Wednesday 22nd July

KRYOLAN RULES THE DAY

Once again we are struggling to keep stocks of Kryolan this really popular make up which covers the skin beautifully whilst note harming the skin at all. You cannot beat it I say. I have a reading list ot recommend today namely 59 SECONDS by Richard Wiseman. This is a self help book bar none. What makes it significant is that everything it says or recommends to eg relieve stress, make you more happy, etc is based on actual empirical studies. IE Not just based on a whim or opinion of the writer but based on in dependant verifiable studies. Its not cheap thought it cost me £12.99 form Waterstones book shop.

Monday 20th July

INTERVIEW ON BBC LOCAL RADIO

Highlight of today was an interview on BBC Radio Sussex. This was so brief and cliche ridden that I was unable to do little more than answer about how miserable and nervous cross dressers were. I badly wanted ot challenge the notion of cross dressers as being sadoe men who wear women's undies and feel guilty. I know this is a reality but surely even women cross dress ie they wear men's clothes all the time. We don't have radio shows where anonymous women calling themselves 'Bert' for fear of prejudice tell tales of secretly doning men's trousers when they were aged 5.

Radio Sussex are guilty of poor lazy journalism. I tried to say that things have improved that there is a lot more to transagenderism than cross dressing tbut could only get a chance ot say that Brighton was liberal and a good place to visit and wear whatever the visitor likes. However I missed a chance ot answer the actual interviewers question "what is your website address" and mentioned our contact details extremely briefly.. I visited BBC Sussex only facebook page still under the old title of BBC Southern Counties where although a membership of 102 was recorded, only 1 ever post was made on June 29th 2009. I intend ot complain to BBC Sussex of being lazy hacks using tired old cliches that even the dialy mail would no longer use. !!

Sunday July 18th

The Palace of Versalles Le Francais Vive !! Saw a great programme on BBC 2 all about King Louis, the XIV aka the sun king. A absolutist monarch who built at the time probably the world's grandest palace out of a most unpromising swamp just outside Paris. In 1682 it officially became the seat of government complete with all the top nobility of France acting like toadies around the sun king. So sumptious was this palace that many of Europes and Asias finest leaders came to visit in the next hundreds of years long after the last King of France was executed. The Hall of Mirrors must be seen to be believed inctredible. Would love to visit this place sometimde !!

Saturday 19th July

STILL RECOVERING

Still recovering from Thursday been playing some Tit Ball. Been in touch with her maj Heather who is all up for another party and promises if we have a Halloween party will dress up as a Naughty Nun and hold confessions in the cupbaord. Now that would be a party worth going too. This event will be strictly invitation only with tickets being distributed. This weather is strange this year or is it me.

THE DAY AFTER THE PARTY !!

I must say I thought it was a very successful party last night at Lacies, Folkestone. The turnout was just about right 13 or 14 girls of wihch 5 were genetic women. Grom/Kaaren's new patio was well used and everyone seeemed to gel in what turned out ot be a really nice crowd. Everyone was form with in a 15/20 miles radius ie all East Kent. And I thought Sister H was great entertainment in her bright red outfit. It was ince ot see all tohse new and familiar faces. The TITBALL competition was a real success ( a new basport is born).

Prepartions continue all this week for the Tipz N Treatz Evening at the Folkesotne shop. Gorm has been busy making a brand new patio ofr our guests ot sit and enjoy an East Kent garden altohugh slightly on the towny side. Sorry I can't aford a mansion in the country quite yet. For this evening we have invented a new sport called T I T B A L L !!! This game involves the use of tit or silicone boxes which for the unintiated are commnly used to store silicone forms. 5 of these are lined up in a formation. Each palyer gets 4 ping pong balls and the objectis to get your balls in the most difficult tit boxes possible !! The highest score wins, as simple as that. Sounds fun we hope it will become an Olympic Sport in good time.

FALSE EYELASHES
We now have available a large choice of false eyelashes from the realistic to the outrageous

Sunday July 12th 2009

Visited the Zoo at Port Lympne today. I have often walked round the bottom of the zoo park but had not been inside the zoo for nigh on 15 years !! The weather was very gusty but still quite pleasant and mild. The zoo was very busy. I couldn't remember much really about the place the Mansion in the middle seemed grander than I remember it. It was built at the start of the 1900's by the millonaire Sir Edward Sassoon MP who entertained many of the top figures of the day there and it even hosted peace conferences in the 1920's.

orginal entrance to port lympne's gardensThese are quite impressive and lead up a steep front gardens to the front lawns where orginally a large outdoor pool would have been. Its still there but full of carp now !!

tapir at port lympne zoo parkThis is a photo of a Malay Tapir which is from Indonesia and which is quite rare now. It is the largest of the 4 species of tapir found in Asia and South American. Click here for more info about the Port Lympne Zoo Park it is quite large and one heck of a walk mainly up and down a steepish hill.

Saturday July 11th 2009

What is with this weather it is all over the show. Last week it was sweltering hot and this week its cloudy, chilly and miserable. It was good of rus as we got a lot of casual visitors. Our range of sex toys is second ot none and everything from twirly butt plugs to remote controlled eggs went flying. I finished the day by going down ot the beach. Yes this might have ssemed a crazy idea but I hunched that it really was a good day in disguise that osmehow the beach would be a bit dull but otherwise really nice. What I got was a force 7 gale and ended up bobing up and down in 5 foot surf crashing round me . Grom said ot me was it cold to which I replied to be honest when your in the middle of the raging stormy ocean, the last thing you remember is whether it is cold or not. The sea for the record is ALWAYS cold thats what the sea is about so stop asking silly questions you land lubbers and find out for yourself. But cold is only in the mind AND I'm bonkers so there ....

Friday 10th July

Heather Mills & Sussex

Down to hove to look after Lacies in Portland Road or Red Town as one youtube film maker called it. I see Mish has left one of her artisitc masterpieces which I photographed.

Round the corner from our shop is Heather Mills new Vegan restuarant form the photo's it looks very well done and even Fat Boy Slim liked the food there. I was a bit delayed in the evening and caught heavy traffic near Lewes Southeram roundabout. It seems despite the new bypass making only one lane east bound has done very little ot prevent gridlock. I was about 20 minutes in the queuing traffic aafter getting thru the Cauifail tunnel it eased off and a good run was on the cards until just after The Rainbow Trount in Broadmeadow a man stoppped my car waving his hands. I thought some silly twit has let his dog off the lead but it was a bit more serious than that a car had collided with a motorcyclist. These roads if you don't know them are heavily wooded and very winding. Then there were various police haring to the scene and an ambulance. I took a photo of the area.

winding roads of Sussex

near scene of accident

I took the above photo when I was stationary near the scene of the accident. I don't know if you can make out but this road is on the brow of the hill with the valley below descending quite steeply. This means any diversion means a very ardious ojurney thru some tiny country lanes to the back of Rye at Peasmarsh in fact, going thru Paul McCartneys part of the world. I passed a place called Peasmarsh Palce is this I wonder where he lives ??

Back in Kent; New Romney seemed full of police and a section of it near a bank was all sealed off and under guard. I am now safely back in Folkestone nice to be back home after what turned out to be an eventful journey. Left about 6pm arrived home at 8.17 pm. not bad considering all the problems I faced not ot mention the lengthy detour. All in all a mini adventure some might say a mystery tour thru Sussex !!

All Around My Hat

puss on computerSue2 who used to be a regular at Folkestone Lacies asked me to mention Rugs the star shop cat. Well today I managed to get a picture of her before she launched herself out of the window to have a chat with Big Ron (see yesterday). Her real name is Bella and she was actually the cat of the people who ran Chart Glass at 131 Dover Road. However she was not cut out (joke!!) for a life of glass so decided to come and join us here in Lacies. Increasingly she would come round, course we would feed her and then when the owners moved on they asked us if we would like ot keep Rugs. I said delightedly of course. She is very nosy for such a small cat maiows whenever she enters a building, eats for England and doesn't put on any weight (Diana like there).

On another topic I see despite the opinions of 800 people the local Shepway council has approved a Tesco's Express store for the Dover Road. Apart from the fact this is going to damage small businesses in the locale. It shows that Shepway Councillors care damn all about the feelings of ordinary people in their town. A pox on them all I say !!

View From My Room

Thanks to everyone who commented on my new youtube video (yet to be completed) comments were nearly all positive. Today I thought you might like to see the view form the window near I am typing this blog so here it is view from my computer

View from my computer in evening

Thos second picture is of Big Ron who seems to live on the windowsill of my kitchen trying to scrounge food from us. He I assume is a he is a rather large and very beautiful animal which nature has in her wisdom perfected to be the masters of thier envirnoment I have never had any arguments from Ron nor has he been nasty. Question how do you tell a male from a female seagull. Also where exactly are their ears ?? big ron

Last but not least in my little gallery of photo is one of Grom's great ideas, namely to put a pumpkin in a bra in order to help it grow. I've heard of bouncers in my time but thuis has got to take the biscuit.

growing boobs captions for any of tonites photo's are mostwelcome email at the usual address sue@fantasygirl.co.uk.

Lastly Sue2 form Dover has asked me ot mention little ruggly. Well their it is Sue a mention for little ruggly a furry bunch of well cat actually!!

Wet News No Don't Be Naughty Now !! Strange things are afoot it rains cats and dogs and we get totally inundated by customers in the Folkestone shop. Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking it in fact bring it on we have lots olf goodies for everyone trans girls, men and women. On a slightly different note we have now got a draft video on you tube I'd love to get your feedback click here to view it !!

Monday 6th July

Interesting Day I hope you enjoyed your weekend, we had a great day Sunday touristy in Burmash visiting Haguelands for fishmonger and nearly visiting the Alpaca's there and Lathe Barn for an ice cream in a pleasant collection of shops and tea rooms. Then cycled about 8 miles round the flat marshes. Monday was a very busy day the weather seems to have broke and is a lot cooler and very winy. Lots more folk thinking about dressing up etc. I am currently working on our forthcoming evening Tips n Treats next Thursday at the shop we will have to do a lot of work to make it look tidy and fit in all those folks who say they are coming. I hope also to have ready a brush set and a make up set. Another areas I am doing a lot of work on along with my Dreamweaver website design course - both fiendishly difficult !!

Saturday 4rd July

Thinking about make up

I am in the process of a/ planning a nice Sunday bike ride maybe also a visit to the beach and b/ evolving a whole new Brush kit and Make Up kit. I say evolving because a lot of thought has gone into this. I read lots of make up advice and books. Even so I would value your input email me sue@fantasygirl.co.uk with your ideas etc. !!

Had a lovely evening swim in the sea with grom (personal trainer asleep on the beach) a very pleasant tolerable temperature)

Friday 3rd July

Unlucky, Andy Murray !!

So it was not to be alas. Our Chinese take away is now a wake. As the old saying goes pick your self up, dust yourself off and start all over again. Lets look at the positives we have 2 great weeks of tennis and produced a great player who nearly won. The weather at least its nowhere as hot as it was yesterday. AND here at Lacies we have in the pipeline a great new range of products for the eyes !! Watch this space for full details coming soon your eyes will never be the same again promise !!!....

Thursday 2nd July

Hove bakes but Kryolan's a sure winner !!

Today must surely have been THE hottest day of the year so far. Driving back from Hove my car's temperature gauge registered 30C at Lewes actually. I was waiting for something to melt: the road, the tyres, the engine or just me ?? Not surprised many people didn't venture out today I crossed the road in Hove and it was blistering. It wasn't a wasted day I learnt lots by surfing the net and making notes. Kryolan make up stick in particular is my brilliant foundation aid. It didn't melt on me today.

Kryolan TV make Up StickI found this great tip for best use of Kryolan from a UK web site involves using 2 different shades to create a perfect base that will cover any beard shadow effectively. For example: Apply 3w all over the face area and blend. Then apply a shade darker over the beard area. This will not appear darker but will actually match the skin tones between the beard area and the rest of the face, as the beard area can still appear a greyish or blueish white just with the first application. I don't have a beard but I do have hair on my top lip electrolysis was too painful for me there !! To find out more about this and our other beard covering foundation, great for those without beards also as it really does give a better coverage than ordinary foundation, click here or on the above image

Summer heat, tennis and skin care

I hope you all enjoyed the great tennis Wimbledon is producing maybe it will entice more of you to pick up a tennis racket. Its a great way of getting exercise and staying trim. I used to have coaching lesson with a lady called April (her sister was called June ??) at Hove Park. I had to give it up as I don't get much time in Hove these days. Good luck to Andy Murray on Friday !!! Great for Britain and great for Tennis !!

kalo lotionOn the subject of looking after yourself I hope you girls ,indeed guys as well , all look after your skin. I personally take off the old war paint in the evening and carefully moisturize and apply Kalo to my face. Kalo is a great little product which we sell oodles of that slows hair growth down. It even comes in an extra strength spray for those with stronger hair you'd prefer not to have. I have included a link to our hair removal page click either here or the above image.

Tuesday June 30th 2009

Very much the day after the day before. The weather is as hot as ever I am putting some lovely new wigs on the web sites.

Victoria Wig Of particular interest is VICTORIA a really lovely short bob style which looks stunning both in Swedish blonde (shown) and also in darker colours. This is a very now very stylish hairpiece and has already sold very well in the two shops.

Murray mounts & TV Dinners comes to Hove

What a dramatic day. Andy Murray finishing with a win at Wimbledon after nearly 4 hours at 10.40 pm at night under the new roof. I think I am more exhausted than he is. Changing the subject had a phone call from a Channel 4's programme "Come Dine With Me" who are having a series of their popular dining programmes in Brighton. One of the guests is surprise surprise a drag queen and apparently the programme makers want them to film them in the appropriate surroundings ie Lacies Hove shop.

On The Beach With Stephen Fry

Another lovely summers day spent up to my eyeballs in VAT receipts lets hope they spend my vat money wisely cause its very hard earnt. In the afternoon after stopping of ra sausage sandwich (oo er !!) I net with my partner the Grom to the beach and spent a pleasant hour swimming in the freezing English Channel. The beach, at Sandgate was the busiest I have ever seen it at 5pm at Night. A sure sign of Summer. Back home more VAT I see Stephen Fry (that champion of Twitter) has lost 6 stone through walking whilst listening to his mp3 player mainly audio books. I begin searching for mine in earnest !!

Jackson and Heat

Well, I have heard so much about Michael Jackson I though I'd throw in my tuppence worth. He was talented musician but not the saviour of the world, he did not as far as I am aware solve cancer, feed the poor, house the homeless. So why the fuss ?? I think it is something to do with the enigma of the man. Even the use of the term 'man' is a bit incongruous. In today's Daily Mail it said he had hormone treatments to keep his voice high. (First I heard hormone treatments could do this.) But there is a photo of him and his first wife Lisa Presley where he looks to be wearing more make up and more feminine than her. He certainly did cut a bit of a androgous figure but I could nerve work out what he was about .. any one got any ideas I'd love to know... ?

Its very warm again today but there's a nice fresh breeze on the Kent coast here. My first visitor mentioned Michael like he was a fan but admitted to only owning one of his records. We are a bit clone-like the human race in the modern media world. We do like to feel we belong, but to what and why is often a mystery. This makes us easy to manipulate by the media often for their own ends. Enjoy the weather, strawberry's and Wimbledon I don't pretend to enjoy these things I actually do and ma a tennis all year round fan to boot !!

To Hove For A Kryolan Day

Well the expected downpour didn't materialize never mind. I watered the plants by hand anyway. The temperature all down was quite nice and temperature the Hove branch of Laices was very pleasant today. It was nice to see Gemma from Burgess Hill and the other t girl from Crawley whose name escapes me. Apparently she tried to get down to the make up session with Paul form CH Fox but was unable due to a crash on the A23. Never mind it was obviously just not to be !!

Both these people plus a gay from near Sending were interested in our ever growing range of Kryolan TV range of cosmetics. In fact they all seemed to be won over to the great qualities of this product either thru CH Fox or via the lady form AMC in Surrey. It seems that all the professional are using this product and the T Girls are learning fast.

Wow what a scorcher !!

Yes folks its been a really warm day today. I cycled to the town and was sweating form my hair down strange I know but the rest of me wasn't too bad . Must have been the superb Kryolan make up plus the new high definition silky kryolan setting powder - yummy !!

This evening ga strange thing happened I was late helping a friend pack up to return to Scotland so my partner Ken went to get some chips form the corner chippie !!
On his way back he had to dodge a fist fight between two men. One man was unlucky and caught a punch right in the head he went down like a drunk and couldn't get up again. The others tries dot help him but he was so groggy he had to lean against my,my car then fell down again

Eventually the ambulance arrive dot take him to the hospital and several police cars came chairing up the hill. Lots of shouting and threats watched from a distance !!

I bought a copper pillow

Well I am a sucker for anything that boasts it can make you look younger. I have today purchased the curpron pillow plus eye mask and gloves (apparently they also reduce wrinkles)
I will let you know how I ge ton with all this stuff. The pillow is satin but contained copper and is supposed to help reduce lines round the eyes. Maybe it will help me sleep;eep better ??
